Jerry’s New Girlfriend

FADE IN:

INT. MONK’S CAFE – DAY

Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer are sitting at a booth, drinking coffee.

JERRY: So, I met this great girl. Her name is Karen.

GEORGE: Oh, Jerry’s got a girlfriend!

ELAINE: What’s she like?

JERRY: She’s perfect. She’s beautiful, funny, smart, and she likes all the same things I do.

KRAMER: What’s the catch?

JERRY: Well, there is one thing. She has this weird thing with dog poop.

GEORGE: Dog poop?

ELAINE: What kind of weird thing?

JERRY: She can’t stand it. She gets nauseous and throws up whenever she sees or smells it.

KRAMER: (smiling) That’s hilarious!

ELAINE: (laughing) Yeah, that’s really funny.

GEORGE: (smiling) I gotta meet this girl.

JERRY: (skeptical) I don’t know, guys. I really like her.

KRAMER: (serious) Jerry, if you’re serious about this girl, you gotta help her overcome her fear of dog poop.

ELAINE: Yeah, I agree. You can’t let something like that get in the way of a good relationship.

GEORGE: (nodding) She needs to face her fear and conquer it.

JERRY: (resigned) Okay, I’ll try.

CUT TO:

INT. JERRY’S APARTMENT – DAY

Jerry and Karen are sitting on the couch, watching TV.

JERRY: (nervous) Karen, I need to talk to you about something.

KAREN: (smiling) What is it, Jerry?

JERRY: Well, it’s about your fear of dog poop.

KAREN: (looking down) I know, it’s silly. I just can’t help it.

JERRY: (encouraging) It’s not silly. It’s a real fear, and I want to help you overcome it.

KAREN: (looking up) How?

JERRY: (grinning) I have a plan.

CUT TO:

INT. CENTRAL PARK – DAY

Jerry and Karen are walking in the park. They come across a pile of dog poop on the ground.

JERRY: (pointing) Look, Karen, there it is.

KAREN: (covering her mouth) Oh, no.

JERRY: (smiling) Don’t worry, I’ve got this.

Jerry picks up the poop with a plastic bag and holds it up to Karen.

JERRY: (firmly) Karen, you need to face your fear. You need to smell it, touch it, and even taste it.

KAREN: (disgusted) Taste it?

JERRY: (nodding) Yes, taste it. It’s the only way to overcome your fear.

Karen hesitates for a moment, then takes the bag from Jerry and tentatively sniffs it.

KAREN: (surprised) It’s not that bad.

JERRY: (smiling) See, it’s not that bad.

Karen takes a small bite of the poop and chews it slowly.

KAREN: (smiling) It’s not bad at all!

JERRY: (laughing) I knew you could do it!

They hug and kiss as a dog walks by and poops on the ground behind them.

KAREN: (giggling) Let’s go get that one, too!

FADE OUT.

THE END.
